 TEX
MONTANA'S FIREBALL 4 - PROFILE
A girl named Tex. That tells ya somethin'.
What the band hopes to tell you is that they're
different.
For starters, they've got a female singer-songwriter-guitar
slinger who, musically, way more resembles Neil
Young than she does any of the prefab pop divas
of today. Tex isn't here to play superficial temptress
to America's schoolboy fantasies, she and her band
are here to blow the roof off. You don't see many
women doing it nowadays and it sure is cool. Buddy
Holly would be proud of Tex. So would Joan Jett
and Steve Earle and Frank Black and Lucinda Williams
and X.
Simply put : Tex rocks.
Big guitars.
Big voice.
Big songs.
Like all good rock'n'roll bands, TMF4 straps it
on, cranks it to 11, counts it off and - makes
the music go bang. |
